Helping you move toward clarity, connection, and support.

Reaching out for support isn’t always easy. Life’s challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, and it’s not always clear what the next step should be.

In our work together, I offer a safe and supportive space to talk things through, gain clarity, and better understand what you’re experiencing. Whether you’re navigating mental health challenges, personal growth, relationship concerns, or overall well-being, we’ll focus on practical steps that help you move forward in a way that feels realistic and supportive in your day-to-day life.

I offer both in-person and online counselling, with flexible hours to help accommodate your schedule.

About Me

My path into counselling has been shaped by a deep desire to come alongside people in their experiences and truly understand their story.

I believe that each person’s journey is unique, and I am passionate about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and valued. Whether you are facing a difficult season or seeking greater clarity, my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion and care as we navigate challenges, develop new skills, and work toward resilience and well-being.

I bring a unique depth of experience and empathy to my counselling practice, shaped by over twenty years working with children, youth, and families in educational and community settings. I have extensive experience supporting neurodiverse individuals, including those with autism and ADHD, and I understand the impact these challenges can have on daily life, family dynamics, and relationships. I have also supported women navigating abusive relationships and currently facilitate a support group for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and their caregivers. These experiences have deepened my understanding of anxiety, resilience, identity, and the mental health challenges many individuals and families face.

My personal experiences have also shaped my approach to counselling. As a wife and mother of two teenagers, and being married to a first responder, I have firsthand insight into the pressures, trauma, and emotional demands of high-stress professions, as well as the impact these challenges can have on family life. Combined with my professional experience supporting mental health and well-being, these experiences have strengthened my empathy, patience, and ability to provide compassionate, practical, and collaborative support that honors each person’s strengths while helping families navigate complex situations.

I am passionate about supporting individuals’ mental health and well-being. My approach is grounded in a person-centered, attachment-based, and trauma-informed perspective. I work with a diverse range of clients, including children, youth, adults, and families, and draw from modalities such as solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques to create a tailored experience for each individual. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and beliefs, and respect the role that personal values and spirituality may hole in each person’s life.

Below is an overview of the services I offer and what you can expect as we begin working together.

Consultation – 15 minutes

This free 15-minute consultation is a chance for us to connect and see if it feels like a good fit. You're welcome to ask any questions, share a bit about what's bringing you to counselling, and get a sense of how I work. It's not a counselling session, just an opportunity to explore whether this feels like the right next step for you—there's no pressure to commit.

Intake Session – 50 minutes

The intake session is our starting point. We'll take some time to explore what's been going on for you, any relevant background, and what you're hoping to get out of counselling. It's also a space for you to ask questions and share anything that feels important. From there, we'll begin to shape a plan that feels realistic and supportive, and start working toward the changes that matter most to you.

Individual Counselling Session – 50 minutes

These sessions are where our ongoing work takes place. This is your time, and I'll follow your lead in terms of what feels most important to focus on. We'll continue building on what we've explored, with space to talk things through, gain clarity, and work through challenges at your pace. Some sessions may be more reflective, while others may focus on practical strategies and next steps. Each session is tailored to you, with the goal of helping you feel more supported, more understood, and better equipped to navigate what you're facing.
